And both products are available in Clicks right now.

Lips: COLOR RICHE LA PALETTE

It's a known fact that makeup palettes of any kind don't sell exceedingly well in South Africa when compared to international markets. The primary reason behind this is cost  with some brand's offering an asking price of R400 or more for their palettes; and in addition to this, most of the time those same pricey palettes will consist of two or more colours that you'll rarely use. Which is why I'm so excited about L'Oréal's recent product launch  a six-shade lip palette that's practical in both its colour choice and price.

The 'Nude' Color Riche La Palette for lips offers a combination of carefully curated blushed nudes, all in glossy cream finishes. The one thing I love about this palette is that it merges both soft and rich lip shades, offering you a variation of colours for both day and night. My favourite shade from the six is definitely the very last nude  a rosy cinnamon, which can be well-paired with a rusty-brown eye makeup look and some heavy mascara.

The retail price for this palette is R249.95  which, when you think about it, is generally the average price for a single lip colour at most cosmetics stores; so ultimately, what you're getting is six lipstick colours for the price of one. Also, as you'll see in the image below, included in the palette is a built-in mirror as well as a miniature lip brush that allows you to apply and retouch with precision while on-the-go.

Eyes: FALSE LASH SUPERSTAR X FIBER MASCARA

A new edition to L'Oréal's False Lash Superstar range and honestly, it successfully outdoes its predecessor when it comes to lash results and colour.

How does it differ from the previous False Lash Superstar mascaras?

1. It consists of a black-tinted volumising lash primer (the step 1 tube)  unlike the original False Lash Superstar and False Lash Superstar Red Carpet mascara, which both featured white lash primers.

You're probably wondering what's so great about a black primer?
Well, usually most white primers don't dry clear or to a semi-transparent finish, so once you apply your mascara, your lash hairs end up looking dark grey instead of black. A black primer, on the other hand, assists in amplifying your mascara's colour payoff  leaving you with the blackest of black lashes.

Beauty tip: You can also use the black primer on its own if you desire a soft-black lash tint and subtle volume and length.

2. This mascara formula consists of 20X more lash fibers  yes, twenty times than the previous False Lash Superstar mascaras, therefore providing intense lash length even for folks like me who's natural lashes are practically non-existent.

For those who don't know about synthetic lash fibers, they basically act as mini lash extensions but provide temporary and more natural-looking lengthening effects. As explained by Beautylish.com, when applied, 'synthetic fibers attach to lash tips, elongating your natural hairs and bulking up the spaces in between for volume.' So you get long, wispy lashes in a couple of coats.

False Lash Superstar X Fiber currently retails for R199.95.
