If You Have Short, Stubby Lashes You Need to Buy This Mascara Like...Today

If you've read some of my previous makeup posts, you've probably seen me share countless times how short and stubby my lashes are. And I know occasionally I can be hella dramatic but seriously, my eyelashes are a joke. The good thing about this though (yes, there is some good that comes with having non-existent lash hairs) is that when I do approve of a mascara, that's when you know it's ridiculously good. If a mascara is capable of lengthening and thickening my barely there lashes, just imagine the results it could leave on someone with medium length eyelashes.

That's why I'm super picky when it comes to mascaras they have to make a huge difference to my lashes once I've used them. One mascara I've been wearing consistently these past couple of days is L'OREAL False Lash Telescopic mascara, which I didn't know even existed until LAST WEEK.

The first time I applied it I was blown away. I noticed that it lengthened my lashes without leaving chunky clumps between them. Heavy clumping is often inevitable when applying mascara formula to short eyelashes but this didn't happen with L'OREAL's False Lash Telescopic mascara. One or two minuscule clumps did form but they weren't an issue at all, not even that noticeable. All I did was pinch my lashes and the clumps disappeared.

What you'll love about this mascara?

The brush and the formula.

Its "telescopic brush" has very fine bristles that help you evenly coat both your inner and outer lashes. Also, the bristles are widely-spaced, which 1) actually helps prevent clumping and 2) combs out your lash hairs, giving you a false lash effect in the end.

The formula consists of micro-fibres (or fibre extensions) that attach to your lashes as you apply your coats, stretching them and leaving you with longer-looking lash hairs.

In terms of texture, the formula isn't too thick or too liquid either; so you can easily apply four coats before it begins to dry. The pigments? Very black, and the formula doesn't set to a dull finish, which is great.

L'OREAL False Lash Telescopic is R199.95 at Clicks and Red Square.
